Yogyakarta, 18 July 2026 – To celebrate the 5th Anniversary of Amaranta Prambanan Yogyakarta, Amaranta successfully hosted the Amaranta Sunset Trail Walk 2026 on Saturday (18/7).

Embracing the concept of a slow & mindful outdoor activity, the event, held in collaboration with Sekelana as the Official Outdoor Community Partner and VOKS Radio Jogja as the Media Partner, served as a space for the public from various backgrounds to briefly disconnect from their routines, enjoy the beauty of nature, and experience a more meaningful walk in the Prambanan hills as the sun set.

Open to communities, travelers, families, and outdoor enthusiasts, the Amaranta Sunset Trail Walk presented an experience that blended wellness, sport tourism, nature, and cultural experience into one journey. This year, the event was attended by 160 participants who enjoyed an approximately five-kilometer route, starting from the Sky Garden Amaranta Prambanan Yogyakarta, heading to the Ganesha Statue (Arca Ganesha), Dawangsari Site, Barong Temple, Pandanrejo Dam, before returning to the Sky Garden as the finish line.

Unlike previous years, the Amaranta Sunset Trail Walk 2026 was held in the afternoon for the first time. This timing was part of the concept Amaranta wanted to present, inviting participants to enjoy the serene twilight atmosphere of Prambanan through a leisurely walk that supports both physical and mental health. This concept aligns with the wellness tourism trend, where travel focuses not only on the destination but also on providing an experience that brings tranquility, balance, and a closer connection with nature.

Along the journey, participants were treated to panoramic views of the Prambanan hills, the green expanse of the Pandanrejo Dam, the Ganesha Statue area, the Dawangsari Site, and the silhouette of Barong Temple blending with the twilight sky. The trek provided an opportunity for participants to enjoy every step at a more relaxed pace, appreciating the natural and cultural wealth of Prambanan while creating memorable moments of togetherness.

General Manager of Amaranta Prambanan Yogyakarta, Firdha L. Agusta, stated that the Amaranta Sunset Trail Walk is a manifestation of Amaranta's commitment to presenting experiences that connect people with nature, culture, and one another.

"Through the Amaranta Sunset Trail Walk, we want to invite the public to enjoy Prambanan from a different perspective. It's not just about walking, but enjoying every moment, feeling the tranquility of nature as the sun sets, while appreciating the cultural wealth surrounding this area. In line with Amaranta's five-year celebration, we hope this event can be an experience that brings benefits to the body, mind, and togetherness."

As the Official Partner, Sekelana also supported the event with the spirit of building a more balanced active lifestyle.

"Wellness doesn't always have to be identical to complex activities. Walking together in nature at sunset provides an opportunity to slow down the pace of life, enjoy the fresh air, share stories, and reconnect with oneself and the surrounding environment," said Akbar, General Manager of Sekelana.

In addition to enjoying a route that crossed various cultural sites and the natural panoramas of Prambanan, participants also received various facilities such as an exclusive event t-shirt, ethnic finisher medal, goodie bag, bib number, refreshments, meal box, water station, snack corner, medical support, and professional documentation.

The series of events then concluded at the Sky Garden Amaranta Prambanan Yogyakarta with a lively atmosphere of togetherness through doorprize giveaways from various supporting partners, culinary delights, and a special performance by the Centili Dance Group by Obelix Group, which entertained the participants and completed the festivity of Amaranta Prambanan Yogyakarta's 5th Anniversary.

As an annual agenda, the Amaranta Sunset Trail Walk will continue to be developed by presenting new concepts relevant to the development of tourism and a healthy lifestyle.

Previously known as a morning leisure walk, this year's event introduced a new experience through the sunset trail walk concept, providing a different perspective in enjoying the Prambanan landscape and serving as one of Amaranta's innovations in developing nature-, culture-, and wellness-based tourism.

Concluding the series of events, Adham Kristanto, Marketing Communication of Amaranta Prambanan Yogyakarta, conveyed that the Amaranta Sunset Trail Walk is part of Amaranta's commitment to continue providing experiences relevant to the needs of today's travelers.

"We see that nowadays travelers are not only looking for destinations but also experiences that provide tranquility, health, and meaning. The Amaranta Sunset Trail Walk was born from this spirit. Through this event, we want to invite the public to enjoy Prambanan in a slower manner, closer to nature, and appreciating every moment more deeply. Hopefully, the Amaranta Sunset Trail Walk can continue to be an annual agenda that strengthens Prambanan's position as a wellness tourism destination while introducing the natural and cultural wealth of Yogyakarta to more people."

Through the Amaranta Sunset Trail Walk 2026, Amaranta Prambanan Yogyakarta reaffirms its commitment to delivering experiences that connect people, nature, culture, and togetherness. In line with the spirit of Amaranta Prambanan Yogyakarta's five-year celebration, this event is expected not only to be a highly anticipated annual agenda but also to drive the growth of wellness-, community-, and cultural preservation-based tourism in the Prambanan area.
